Walking a Half Marathon back to the home of Aireborough RUFC!!!
On Saturday, 7th September, the Aireborough RUFC Under 16’s completed a fantastic half marathon walk from Leeds Armouries back to Nunroyd Park in Guiseley, home of Aireborough RUFC, to raise funds for their upcoming tour to Parma, Italy.
Dressed as "Where’s Wally," both the lads and their parents embraced the fun and camaraderie, taking 4 and a half hours to complete the 13.1-mile journey. Head Coach Rob Rattray commented, "As a coaching team, we have always believed that Rugby Union can provide a great deal of opportunities to young players, both on and off the pitch. We’ve welcomed several new families this season because we focus on growing both the player and the person, and our tour to Italy will certainly give us a chance to celebrate this.” The event was a brilliant display of team spirit and determination, all in support of an unforgettable experience for the players.
