As the new rugby season beckons, Aireborough's 1st XV team is poised to continue their remarkable journey after an exceptional 22/23 season. Building on their previous successes, they are ready to conquer new heights with a fresh captain Mikey Dolan at the helm, bringing renewed passion and strategic prowess to the squad.

New captain Mikey has a long term connection with Aire through his club stalwart father. Mikey started his Aire career at 5 & played his way through the age grades. His first captaincy came aged 15 as a rampaging back row player, he always led from the front. In the last season of Colts his team made it to the Yorkshire Cup final & against all odds narrowly missed out on winning the competition. Mikey made his senior debut at the age of 17 during the 2018 season. Mikey’s ambitions for this season is winning games & getting promoted back to Yorkshire.

With the vice captain position still up for grabs based on effort, attendance and leadership shown in pre-season the stage is set for aspiring leaders to showcase their skills and make their mark.
